About Me

I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2003. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2009, and a Certified Jungian Analyst in 2021.

I became very acquainted with being the client in psychotherapy almost two decades ago when I experienced problems in my marriage. I couldn’t figure it out and was tired of being miserable.  At this time, I also read the book, “Women Who Run With the Wolves”, that literally changed my life. Through my readings and consistent psychotherapy, and yes, hard work, I began to make some pretty amazing changes and discovered that I wanted to help others with their suffering, just as my psychotherapist helped me. It is a journey that I would not trade for the world.

Some people call my profession the “Wounded Healer”. I believe this is true because all of us are wounded in some way, shape or form. How could I help you unless I have experienced something similar, and suffered myself? The key here is that I have done and still do my own psychological work.  There is a huge dividing line between being educated in the work versus being educated in the work and experiencing it. I choose the latter.
